Fill your cup first and take care of your self first
We often get caught up in the day to day hustle and routine without even taking a minute to stop and consider ourselves. Most of us have families, careers, school, priorities that are beyond the scope of us taking a minute to stop and pause and take some time for ourselves, and that is exactly where the problem starts.
Let’s just be honest, life can be very challenging and sometimes just straight, busy and stressful. Trying to get to the point in life and break busy is tough. We tend to be everything else for everyone else except ourselves and that is a big problem that tends to lead to physical and mental problems.
You can’t pour from an empty cup simply put take care of yourself first before you take care of anyone or anything else first. You owe you, make yourself a priority. Your mental and physical health is a priority. Consider yourself first to check in with you, rather it’s exercising, spending quiet time meditating, reading, praying, enjoying your coffee with no distractions.
Take time for yourself to be still and be quiet before you start your day and be everything else to everyone else except you. Just 15-30 minutes every morning will be a game changer. Wake up just a little bit earlier for yourself to breathe, think, plan, and just relax before the craziness starts your whole entire life will be so much better.
There is not a whole list of things that we are in total control of, but we are definitely in control of ourselves, our mental and physical state of being is our problem and our priority.
